Tudor rose
Tudor rose [Tudor rose] BrE NAmE noun the symbol of the ↑Tudor family when its members were the kings and queens of England (1485–1603). It was introduced by ↑Henry VII when he became the first Tudor ↑monarch, and was a combination of the white rose (the symbol of the House of ↑York) and the red rose (the symbol of the House of ↑Lancaster).
