reverse discrimination
reˌverse discrimiˈnation 7 [reverse discrimination] BrE NAmE noun uncountable (disapproving) the practice or policy of making sure that a particular number of jobs, etc. are given to people from groups that are often treated unfairly because of their race, sex, etc. The term reverse discrimination is nearly always used in a disapproving way; to describe this policy in a way that is not necessarily disapproving use positive discrimination or affirmative action.
