a ↑zoo in ↑Regent's Park, London, England. It was established in 1826 by the Zoological Society of London. Today the ↑zoo is an important centre for the study of animals, and breeds animals that are in danger of disappearing in their native environments. Another branch of the ↑zoo is at ↑Whipsnade.
