Kensington
Kensington [Kensington] BrE NAmE a district of south-west London, England, part of the ↑borough of Kensington and ↑Chelsea. It contains many of London’s large museums, including the ↑Victoria and Albert Museum, the ↑Natural History Museum and the ↑Science Museum. It also contains the ↑Commonwealth Institute and ↑Imperial College London. Kensington has particular associations with the royal family, and was made a ‘royal borough’ by Queen ↑Victoria, who was born in ↑Kensington Palace. South Kensington is a fashionable and expensive area to live in.
