Hutterite
Hutterite [Hutterite] BrE NAmE noun a member of a Protestant religious group living mainly in the US states of ↑South Dakota, ↑North Dakota and ↑Montana, and also in Alberta in Canada. The Hutterites were established in 1533 in Moravia in Czechoslovakia as a division of the ↑Anabaptists, and are named after Jacob Hutter. Their way of life is similar to that of the ↑Mennonites. It includes common ownership of property and a refusal to use violence.
