Skylab
Skylab [Skylab] BrE NAmE
the first US space station. It was used in the early 1970s for scientific research by three different groups of three ↑astronauts. In 1979 Skylab fell to earth in pieces which landed in the Indian Ocean and Australia without causing any damage.
