George IV [George IV] BrE NAmE NAmE
(1762–1830) king of Great Britain and Ireland (1820–30). Before becoming king, he ruled as ↑Prince Regent because his father ↑George III was ill. He had many lovers and shocked many people by the way he lived, spending a lot of time eating, drinking and gambling.
