the Docklands Light Railway
the Docklands Light Railway [the Docklands Light Railway] BrE NAmE (abbrDLR)
a system of light trains used for public transport in the London ↑Docklands which started operating in 1987. The trains are controlled by computer and travel above ground, often high up on raised lines. Many of its stations are linked to the ↑London Underground.
