Alice, a young girl, dreams that she follows a white rabbit down its hole and has a series of adventures with imaginary creatures. Some of the characters, such as the ↑Mad Hatter and the ↑Cheshire Cat, are referred to in informal English expressions. There was a second book about Alice, ↑Through the Looking Glass.
